The story behind Buds & Blooms

Buds & Blooms has been a florist shop nestled the historic town Esher for over 35 years. Ideally located in the heart of Surrey, it is the ideal location with easy transport links in to London but still having the charming community feel.

Owner and head floral designer Shilu took over the business in 1997 after falling love with the local area. Born in Kenya, Shilu was surrounded by beautiful and exotic blooms from an early age as her Mother was a trained florist. With an eye for detail and creative mind, it was natural for Shilu to branch out and complete her degree in Interior Design before the opportunity to return to her floristry roots and run her own business in Esher came along.

Since taking over Buds & Blooms over 20 years ago, Shilu and her talented team have built an outstanding reputation for their unique floral designs, highest quality flowers and professional customer service. They have had the honour of working with some of the country’s leading venues for weddings and events, and love the challenge of transforming a space into something breathtakingly magical.

Buds & Blooms treasure the local community and close links they have built over the years with clients and customers in Surrey. As a small way to give something back they regularly deliver flowers to Princess Alice Hospice, to help share some of the joy fresh blooms can bring to brighten someone’s day.
